Hawaii players, September 3rd is the deadline to have
your spot secured for the Olomana Shootout which is September 25th
and 26th. On Tuesday, September 7th, we
will be opening up the remaining spots. Contact Paul Kimura at

Alika Bell Wins 2nd Event in 2010!

Klipper- Kaneohe Klipper Golf

Alika Bell captured the 2010
Battle at Klipper with a birdie on the first hole of sudden
death with Keli Sur. Both golfers finished with a two day total
of 148. Alika Bell who is heading off to the University of San
Francisco to begin his collegiate career, birdied the first 2
holes to get off to a quick start as he trailed first round
leader Patrick Hawthorne by 6 shots and Keli Sur by 5 shots.
After 27 holes, Keli lead by a shot over Alika and Patrick.
Patrick had a tough start on the back nine as he bogied the 10th
and triple bogied the 11th, he ended up tied for
fifth. Wenhao entered the picture as he birdied 16 and 17 to
pull within 1 shot, but a bogey on the tough 18th
left him one shot out of the playoff. On the first playoff hole
Alika hit his second shot to within 3 feet and calmly sank his
putt to capture the Battle at Klipper.
The shot of the day was by
Beau Belbas as he made a hole in one on the tough 11th
hole. Beau hit a 7 iron and this was his first career ace.
Brendon Chun who was playing in the same group commented that
this was the third time he has witness a hole in one and each
time he had to hit next. For those of us you have not made a
hole in one, you might want to request a tee time with Brendon,
just make sure you hit before him on the par 3.
If you had a 2 day total of
157 or better, your gift certificates can be picked up at the
Kaneohe pro shop. Please call 254-2107 to have the pro shop
leave your name at the front gate. If you would like to play
when you redeem your certificate, just let the pro shop know.
